Rangers fans here in the Tavern are desperate for their side to enjoy a strong finish to the current campaign, after struggling to ensure consistency in recent times.
Sadly, Graeme Murty’s future continues to be surrounded with doubt as many of our local residents have had enough. But, finding a suitable replacement could prove difficult after witnessing Pedro Caixinha’s downfall, as Dave King may have his work cut out as the summer approaches.
Surprisingly, Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is supposedly in talks to become Rangers’ new manager. Although, this is a move that not many supporters saw coming, having seen very little of him on the managerial scene.
Encouragingly, Gerrard does have a lot of contacts at Anfield, so he may look to bring a couple of Liverpool’s youngsters to Ibrox with him. Indeed, after seeing how well some of Rangers’ signings have performed this season, perhaps this would be a smart move.
Nevertheless, if Steven Gerrard joins Rangers, he needs to bring these TWO Liverpool youngsters with him…
Ryan Kent
Ryan Kent has the ability to become a future star at Anfield, but he has struggled for opportunities in the side of late. Indeed, the 21-year-old has spent the current campaign on loan at SC Freiburg and Championship side Bristol City, as a permanent move away from Merseyside could be in the offing.
Rangers have managed to bring Declan John, Sean Goss and Greg Docherty on leaps and bounds in the current campaign and should look to do the same with the Liverpool youngster at the club.
But, securing the services of Kent would be hugely beneficial for the Bluenoses as they gear up for next season, as a similar player to Jamie Murphy who has already set the Scottish Premiership alight.
Therefore, with pace, skill, a deadly eye for goal and the ability to take on his man in the final third, the winger would be a quality addition for Rangers.
Dominic Solanke
Sadly, Dominic Solanke has struggled since moving to Anfield in the summer transfer window, as Jurgen Klopp has looked to give other players an opportunity in the side. And, with the Reds potentially bolstering their attacking ranks in the summer transfer window, he may be on the receiving end of a loan move.
Solanke may not bee your typical youngster as he has already enjoyed moments in the first-team, but there’s no doubt that he’d benefit from regular minutes at another club
Indeed, this would be welcome news for Rangers having seen how effective the 20-year-old can be in front of goal, with many of our local residents wanting to see him lead their line next season.
