Though the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have bigger fish to fry right now, there’s been a bit of banter between they and the Manchester United fans propping up the bar.
With the Red Devils having beaten the Blues recently, the two sets of supporters have been at each other’s throats somewhat, especially with the Jose Mourinho factor in play.
So, imagine the debate sparked following a tweet from United star David De Gea. The Spaniard took to Twitter to wish teammate and compatriot Juan Mata a happy birthday, though dropped a little hint in his message.
Using a photo of the midfielder covered in blue paint, De Gea praised the 29-year-old for looking better in red than he does in blue, in reference to his time at Chelsea.

Interestingly enough, the playmaker was sold by Jose Mourinho during their short stint together at Stamford Bridge, though has been an integral part of his plans at Old Trafford.
