Our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern knows that Mourinho is a man who knows what he wants! 

With that it means that some players who perhaps before had been playing at Manchester United are now not getting as many minutes on the field.

With some of those not being selected you cannot argue, but with some of them it does make you think about how on earth aren’t they getting more time on the pitch, especially Bastian Schweinsteiger who has now left the club for Chicago Fire.

But it still remains that some players just aren’t anywhere near the starting eleven this season for one reason or another!

So with that, these TWO Man Utd players are getting nowhere near the starting XI under Mourinho…

TIMOTHY FOSU-MENSAH

The young Dutch full-back was given so many opportunities under former gaffer Van Gaal. Now under Mourinho, it’s very rare that we see him on the pitch if at all!

Still a very talented lad and Mourinho will know that and it’s likely he’s in the Portuguese gaffer’s thoughts for the best few seasons, but right now he’s nowhere near the starting eleven.

A loan deal might make sense for next season.

Somehow the England International just isn’t getting time in the starting eleven under Mourinho.

Yes we have seen him feature every now and then but he’s not by any means the regular that he should be in the United defence.

Still, at least he’s only 21-years-old and can turn it around whether that be at Old Trafford or at another club to try to resurrect his career to the heights it was destined for!

At Southampton he was a real star, but Mourinho doesn’t seem to rate him.
