West Bromwich Albion’s managerial hunt may be dragging on slightly but that hasn’t affected their performances on the field in recent times as they’ve taken six points from their last two games.
It’s safe to say that finding a new manager could prove crucial for the Baggies at this stage in their season as there’s still plenty to play for, with promotion to the Premier League up for grabs.
Interestingly, it appears as if the Midlands club have identified another possible managerial candidate, as according to the Express & Star, Preston North End’s Alex Neil and Slavisa Jokanovic are the Baggies’ two top targets.
Darren Moore gave fans plenty to shout about and he was admired by many, so replacing him won’t be an easy task for whoever is appointed as his successor.
Slavisa Jokanovic has been out of management for a while and never really managed to ensure consistency in the Premier League, so it’s about time Luke Dowling ruled him out and weighed up different options.
One man who could do a solid job at the Hawthorns is Alex Neil. The 37-year-old has made a name for himself in recent years in the Football League as he’s managed to ensure constant progression at Deepdale.
The Lilywhites currently find themselves out of the play-off places on goal difference but that could soon change if Preston continue to dominate under the Scotsman. Neil has managed to turn a number of average players into stars since rocking up at Deepdale and he promotes an attacking style which would be perfect for the Baggies.
