Though barely the most inspiring of Premier League characters, the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been walking in a James Milner wonderland of late.
In fact, it seems the 30-year-old is in fact so good at football that he can perform in other people’s positions better than the natural option.
Moulded into a left-back under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp, the recently retired England international has proved a welcome tonic to the Alberto Moreno induced woe those on Merseyside have had to endure.
Still, a stat recently revealed by Opta would indicate the former Manchester City man is a luckier charm in an attacking sense too.
43 – James Milner has never been on the losing side in a @PremierLeague game where he has scored. Talisman.

It appears whenever Milner has scored in a Premier League game, his sides have NEVER lost.
43 times across his spells with City, Newcastle United and Aston Villa, he has never once lost in a league game where he has bagged a goal.
Incredible.
