It’s definitely time for Rodgers to say bye to these 2 players in January

For the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern, there really is nothing to moan about right now as Brendan Rodgers builds what is hopefully a fruitful dynasty with the club.

The former Liverpool chief has already landed some silverware in green and white and has had a huge impact on the Hoops propping up the bar since his arrival.

It’s in stark contrast to the Ronny Deila era that plagued the club for two years, with the Bhoys looking far more dynamic in almost every aspect of play.

Still, it seems Rodgers is in Glasgow for the long run and there’s little doubt he has some work to do as he tries to get the SPFL champions fit and fighting in Europe.

With that in mind, as exciting as it to talk about who he could sign, he’ll also need to ship some out.

That being said, here are TWO players he really needs to bid farewell to in January.

Logan Bailly

loggy

Having barely played since arriving from Belgium, 30-year-old stopper Logan Bailly surely has no real future at Celtic Park.

Both Craig Gordon and Dorus di Vries are lightyears ahead of him in the pecking order and Rodgers would surely be better off affording a burgeoning young talent experience in that role.

Linked with a move away, Bailly surely can’t be around much longer.

Kris Commons

A stalwart of success at Celtic in years gone by, Kris Commons is the odd man out amid Rodgers’ thrillingly incisive attack right now.

Now 33 of course, a reunion with Neil Lennon at Hibernian is thought to be on the cards for a man who hasn’t played since March.
