Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are fed up with the amount of turmoil their club has been through this season but it doesn’t look like ending soon.
The Hammers have had problems with their stadium and performances on the pitch whilst their latest issue with Dimitri Payet has only just been solved.
The Frenchman finally left the club for Marseille in January but now it appears the next issue is already coming up in the form of Slaven Bilic’s future.
The Croatian boss has been widely criticised at times here in the Transfer Tavern this year and The Mirror believes Roberto Mancini could be coming in to replace him.
It’s a deal that would surely captivate many onlookers and our landlord reckons these three reasons highlight why such a decision would pay dividends for the men from east London…
He’s a winner
Mancini knows how to win things and that is where West Ham want to be heading.
The Hammers came into this season wanting to underline their ambitions by playing in Europe and building on their 7th placed finish last season. Instead none of that has happened and our landlord thinks Mancini wouldn’t have allowed that to happen. He’s ambitious and suits the club greatly in that regard.
Bilic has been poor
Bilic had a great season last year but the Croatian has had a shocker this time around and may have questioned whether or not he is really good enough.
Of course, it is partly the players’ fault too but he has made a number of baffling team selections and transfers recently suggesting that he doesn’t really know what he’s doing. It could be best for him to move on, then.

Mancini has worked with some of the best players in the game so he’d surely be able to bring in a few handy players.
Last summer saw one of the worst windows in terms of players coming in to the club and a repeat of that cannot be accepted by the Hammers. Mancini would surely get it right and start building a squad capable of playing in Europe regularly and well.
