Our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern was very impressed with the display from Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side against Hull City last Saturday, as they scored 6 in a comfortable 6-1 victory at the Vitality Stadium.

However we here at the Tavern feel the South Coast side may get a reality check from the North Londoners this weekend.

Spurs are still unbeaten and we feel that run will continue this Saturday against the Cherries.

Spurs may have struggled last time out against West Brom when their former employee Nacer Chadli finished superbly from close range.

But if it wasn’t for an inspired Ben Foster, then Tottenham would have probably won the game by 3 or 4!

With the momentum to continue their unbeaten run we feel that this Tottenham Hotspur XI can obliterate Bournemouth….

GK: Hugo Lloris

The Spurs captain has been as good as ever so far this season, the French International Captain had a great Euros and he continued that form in the start of the campaign this season.

Ever reliable and has made some unbelievable saves so far this season.

He’s easily up there with the likes of De Gea, Buffon and Neuer as one of the best!

RB: Kyle Walker

The England and Spurs full-back has been solid so far this season and arguably was one of the best players at the Euros.

He has been one of the most consistent right-backs over the past 3 years and there’s no real challenge for him at right-back so for us he will always keep his place.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

The centre-back has formed quite the partnership with his fellow compatriot Toby Alderweireld thus far this season- they are like a literal brick wall.

However with the injury to his team-mate, he may have a different partner but there is no doubt he’ll keep Bournemouth at bay.

CB: Eric Dier

With the injury to Alderweireld on Saturday- Dier came on and looked at home in the centre-back position.

Although many punters see him as a defensive midfielder more than a defender, whilst at Sporting Lisbon in their youth ranks and first team was mostly used at the back and has even featured there for Spurs multiple times.

He will provide great cover for however long he has to.

LB: Ben Davies

With Danny Rose also injured, it bods well when you can call on an International full-back as back up.

That just shows the quality in depth that Spurs have been able to put together.

He’ll have no issues covering and with his pace the likes of Wilson and Ibe may struggle to utilise theirs.

RM: Heung-Min Son

Although this position could of been occupied by Moussa Sissoko, our landlord here at the Tavern feels so far this season that Son has been much more inspiring at the right side of midfield.

The Korean can play further forward as we’ve witnessed here at the bar multiple times this season, which will also provide much needed support for Janssen up top.

CDM: Victor Wanyama

Since arriving in England at Southampton, the Kenyan has been a rock as the last line of midfield and breaking down any kind of play from his opponents.

The 25-year-old has done just that so far this season and has won many plaudits for his displays in a Spurs shirt – one of many players to leave Southampton over time and gone on to bigger and better things.

CM: Dele Alli

The player provided an important goal at the last against West Brom and has been key in the link up play between midfield and attack.

Dele Alli has had his critics since his move to Spurs, but let’s not forget the fact that not that long ago he was in League One with MK Dons, and the progress he’s made is incredible!

Much kudos must go to Pochettino for the player he has developed.

LM: Erik Lamela

The Argentine is one of the only players left form the money that was spent after the departure of Gareth Bale.

The winger struggled initially when he first arrived in England.

But last year he finally turned up and was inspirational in Spurs’ title bid, and if he’s fit, he’ll have to be in any side for Tottenham and he’ll for sure cause a number of problems for the ageing Bournemouth defence.

CAM: Christian Eriksen

Has been rather underwhelming at times since the turn of the year, that may well be due to his poor displays in a Spurs shirt – however our landlord here feels that is not in fact the case!

He feels that he was just overshadowed by how well Kane, Alli and Lamela played.

We here feel the landlord is correct and that Eriksen still has a lot to offer for his side and will continue to cause problems for his opponents.

ST: Vincent Janssen

The Dutch striker has struggled a little since his arrival in the summer – but some strikers have taken a while to adapt and then go on to become amazing.

Then again some have gone on to flop!

We feel Janssen has a lot to offer and whilst Kane is injured it could be his time to step up.

With Son in the game and on the field we feel that’ll bring the best out of the Dutch forward as he can provide help up top for  Janssen, and they can work as a unit and cause a mountain of problems for Bournemouth this Saturday in the early kick-off.
