Celtic are well and truly back on course to be lifting some silverware in May, whilst even remaining with a chance in Europe.
It was a horrific start that had fans worried but now back on track with a string of great results, Celtic are back to being the domestic rulers they have been for years gone by.
Brendan Rodgers has yet to fail at Celtic Park and again this season that seems unlikely.
Nevertheless Celtic aren’t perfect, they could do with some reinforcements in January to increase their chances at having a successful season.
Eyeing a right-back is the first of many smart ideas they may consider and the perfect one could be found in the form of Newcastle’s Javier Manquillo.
Manquillo, who is valued at £4.5 million on Transfermarkt, could prove to be a big upgrade at Celtic Park, barring in mind that Lustig and Gamboa aren’t getting better, only older.
Whilst having just three Premier League appearances to his name this season, it really hasn’t been a successful move to Newcastle since he joined in 2017.
The Spaniard though can be a lot better and under Brendan Rodgers, he could be. Having played under the current boss whilst at Liverpool, the two are fully aware of each other’s strengths and with another chance in Scotland, Manquillo could prove to be the real deal.
At 24-years-old, Manquillo has years ahead of him to make a name for himself at Celtic and a move could be perfect for both parties at this time.
Celtic haven’t won anything yet and no matter if they’re on the way to doing so or not, Manuqillo is a signing that will improve their chances.
