Glasgow Rangers have had some stunning players down the years, one of whom is Jorg Albertz.

The German moved to Ibrox in 1996 for £4m, and he would go on to become a club legend. He stayed with the 54-time Scottish champions until 2001, making over 150 appearances in all competitions. He won the league on no fewer than three occasions, whilst he also won two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League cups, whilst fans were used to seeing his thunderous shots hit the back of the net. There was a reason he was called Der Hammer, after all.

On Wednesday, Rangers’ official Twitter account shared a video of the former midfielder scoring against Hearts, and it gave the club’s supporters the perfect opportunity to praise Albertz. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the man.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about Albertz below
We need someone like this just now. A goal from nothing, shooting outside the box 👀👏

I don’t think the hammer ever scored an ordinary goal it was always a stunning shot or a gallop through a defence and an explosive finish. In my estimation he was one of our greatest ever goal scorers.

In other news, this Rangers loanee suffered heartbreak within hours of his latest move.
