Jose Mourinho needs to axe these 3 Man United players before the deadline

The summer transfer window gives every team in England the chance to build up their squads to improve them for the long season ahead.

For some teams its about a complete overhaul, getting as many new players in as possible to improve a seriously under-performing side from the season before.

For others its about bringing in a couple of names to compliment a good core of players that did well last time out, a little like Leicester City for example.

For for new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, he has plenty of work to do before the window closes at the end of the month, with his Red Devils’ side littered with deadwood.

After Louis Van Gaal’s tentative attempt to build the club up in the same way Fergie did, many players came in or stagnated and its time for Jose to get rid.

So with that in mind, here’s THREE Man United players that need to be axed by Jose before the deadline…

Tyler Blackett

Sorry Tyler, but your not going to get in this Manchester United side. Not now, not ever.

Some United fans were seriously surprised when he made a run of twelve appearances back in the 2014/2015 season but now his time looks to be up at Old Trafford.

With no first-team action on the horizon and Eric Bailly coming in from Villarreal earlier this summer, expect Blackett to be moved on by the Portuguese manager by the end of the transfer window.

Will Keane

AS Roma v Manchester United - Guinness International Champions Cup - Pre Season Friendly Tournament

Growing up in the United academy, great things were expected from Will Keane who was earmarked as one of a handful that could go onto be great for United.

But injuries have seriously hampered this former England U21 stars’ progress and he will be lucky to make it to the end of the transfer window as a Manchester United player.

Now 23 and with four loan moves under his belt, Keane should be ready to step up but he’s a typical example of a player who is sandwiched between the reserves and the first team.

Ashley Young

Manchester United v Manchester City - Barclays Premier League

Who? Yes, some people have genuinely forgotten who Ashley Young is after a couple of years in footballing exile.

The former Villa man made only 14 starts last season and is just not part of Jose’s plans to restore United to their former glory.

He’s only scored 15 goals in five years at the club and is a typical example of someone who needs a fresh start elsewhere. He’s someone United just don’t need anymore.
