It looks like being a relatively quiet deadline day for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern again.
Indeed, our resident Red Devils are delighted about the nature of life under Jose Mourinho thus far and the punters propping up the bar aren’t expecting to welcome any more additions to Old Trafford this summer.
However, comments from Dean Jones on Twitter have proven rather interesting today. He’s revealed that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are exploring a deal to bring Mourinho favourite Marouane Fellaini to Istanbul NEXT season.

The Belgian was linked with a move to the Super Lig – though with Galatasaray – earlier this summer, though Mourinho revealed it’d be easier for them to sign HIM than the former Everton man.
Having emerged as a direct option from the bench for the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ since his appointment in the role, the 28-year-old looks as if he’ll play a reasonably big part of United’s project this season.
Still, he’s out of contract next summer and the Turkish titans look like trying to take him from Mourinho’s hands.
Landlord’s Verdict:
A hugely divisive figure amongst United supporters, Fellaini is definitely a good option off the bench this season. Indeed, like him or not, he can change games with his direct approach and Mourinho needs all the help he can get right now.
However, letting him depart after 5 years of service next summer for a lucrative move to Turkey would be a good move for everyone involved.
