It’s been a strange few weeks for the Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern. Indeed, with the signing of Virgil van Dijk and a win over Manchester City in the Premier League proving high points, their form since their famous victory at Anfield and the exit of Philippe Coutinho has seriously annoyed our punters.
Now, coming off the back of two consecutive losses, our resident Reds are ready to rage again. According to reports today, Anfield outcast Daniel Sturridge is close to joining West Brom on loan after falling down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp, though it’s not proving a popular decision amongst supporters.
Despite the fact the England international has struggled to break into an attacking trident that includes the likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah, it seems many Kopites online aren’t keen on letting him go, with Liverpool in the hunt for a top four finish.
