Just what they need: These 2 Chelsea players should be eager for Higuain to join this summer

Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly a target for Chelsea, at least according to the Express. The Juventus forward has proven his worth over the last few years as one of the best in the world, and that can’t really be doubted.

For Napoli, he was a brilliant signing, and he enjoyed a stunning 36-league goal season under Maurizio Sarri, and his form at Juventus has been productive too.

So, despite any reservations that fans may have about his age, it’s clear that the Argentine attacker would have an impact at Chelsea, and he could be particularly influential on some of the club’s current players.

Alvaro Morata struggled last season, and so the prospect of a top class striker moving to London could well be music to the ears of a few people at Stamford Bridge.

With that said, these 2 Chelsea players must be desperate for Higuain to join this summer…

Gonzalo Higuain could be just what Eden Hazard is looking for.

The Belgian has previously spoken of his desire to wait and see who Chelsea sign before deciding his future, and a move for one of Europe’s best forwards would certainly be a good step.

Higuain has scored important goals regularly over the last few years, and if Hazard’s end goal is to win more trophies, his arrival would undoubtedly help the Blues in that process.

One of the biggest names in European football, Higuain would be a statement signing, and that would go down well with Hazard.

Cesc Fabregas enjoyed his best football at Chelsea when Diego Costa was firing on all cylinders. It’s no surprise, then, that he wasn’t quite as good last season.

Alvaro Morata isn’t as potent as Higuain, and though he was regularly served up brilliant passes by Fabregas, the Spaniard often fluffed his opportunities.

Higuain would likely be far more efficient, and that, in turn, would make Fabregas’ job as the string-puller much easier.

It could be a match made in heaven, just like Fabregas and Costa.
