Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are coming to terms with the fact an expensive signing looks set to leave without making a major impact in West London.
Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado joined the Blues in January for around £27m but failed to impress, joining Juventus on-loan for the season over the summer.
It not appears that the South American will remain in Turin for the long-term, as TalkSport quote general manager Giuseppe Marotta as stating the player is keen to stay with the Serie A side.
“We have no right of redemption, at Chelsea’s request. He’s expressed his happiness at being here with us, and [his happiness to] continue here in future.”
“We’ll look at things with Chelsea at the appropriate time, but it’s very likely that there will be a good conclusion.”
Whilst Juventus retain no options of activating a permanent deal, which means they will have to negotiate with Chelsea at the end of the season, Cuadrado is expected to seal a permanent move to the Italian champions in 2016.
Blues fans at the bar aren’t pleased with this at all, blaming under-fire boss Jose Mourinho as wasting cash once again.
