Alan Hutton has caught the eye of the Old Lady of Turin herself according to The People. Seemingly on his way out last summer Spurs refused to lower their valuation of around £9 million meaning his loan move to Sunderland never became permanent.
Since then, however, Hutton has played his way back into the squad making 19 appearances as Redknapp looks to utilize the whole of his squad due to a much more congested fixture list.
He has impressed this season and is a full back that loves to push forwards as well as tackle and has two goals and an assist for his efforts. That seems to have been enough to catch Luigi Delneri’s eye at Juve where defensive issues have seen the Italian giant leak goals far too often.

He could prove to be a shrewd buy for Juventus given his strength and agility going forward. Whether Tottenham would get their £9 million back is doubtful however, shedding some uncertainty over the deal. Hutton would jump at the chance to move as long as first team football is assured and Spurs would like to cash in on a fringe player but may reject Juve’s offer reported to be around €7million.
The former Rangers defender can’t have been heartened to see Redknapp bid for Phil Neville in January and can’t seem to cement his place in the team with Vedran Corluka the first choice full back. With Champions League revenue providing Spurs with some weight to throw around in the transfer market Hutton’s days at the club look to be numbered.
Juve would be a game for both the player and the club, but at least for Hutton it’s a gamble that involves first team football and a sense of worth.
