Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their season to get going this year with them hoping for a tilt at promotion.
The men from Elland Road will feel that they only have to go that little bit further than last season to get over the line and back in the top flight so confidence should be pretty high.
Of course, it still remains to be seen how Thomas Christiansen settles in as the new manager but if he can do that quickly the club should be looking good.
Looking good, meanwhile, is what Chris Wood is doing with him bagging another goal for his country last night proving he is still sharp.
Indeed, he tweeted after the match about New Zealand’s loss to Mexico and so, with that in mind, here is the best of what has been said:
Proud of the lads today! Showed what we are about. On another day we would have got more out of it. On to the next one. #confedscup2017 pic.twitter.com/5KHRtJZ4Te

Bad control of both sets of players. But even worse by the officials. How no1 was sent off I don’t know. And they’ve got video refs there.
