The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that Paul Murray and Barry Scott have resigned from their positions as Rangers directors today. The club announced the news via the Rangers website, and the announcement comes as the club is set to hold further talks with Steven Gerrard over becoming the club’s next manager.

The club sacked Graeme Murty yesterday as talks with Steven Gerrard have continued over the Liverpool legend being named as the next manager at Ibrox. Murty was put in interim charge of the club back in October following the sacking of Pedro Caixinha and was then made permanent until the end of the season in December. However, a horrible two-week spell that saw the Gers lose 4-0 and 5-0 to Celtic saw the end of Murty’s reign.
The club now appears to be at a crossroads, in the space of just two days Ibrox has seen two directors and their manager leave the club and with three games left this season, it’s important that the Gers remain professional as they wrap up the campaign. Rangers face Kilmarnock at home this Saturday before successive away trips to Hibs and Aberdeen if the club can win their last three games they’re likely to finish 2nd in the League, bettering last season’s 3rd place finish.
