Klopp must give these 2 Liverpool players a chance vs Crystal Palace on Saturday

Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking at the squad for Saturday and seeing what two players could be given a chance to shine.

As you can imagine team talk is rife amongst the Liverpool fans after conceding that late goal against Watford in the early kick-off last Saturday.

Do they need to strengthen their defence?

A different style of midfielder for plan B?

Our landlord thinks instead of dipping into the transfer market, why not give some fringe players a chance to prove their worth.

These two players, one punter believes are raring to go and could turn into first team regulars this season….

Joe Gomez

20-year-old Gomez was on the verge of some first team minutes would it not have been for an Achilles injury that ruled him out of the first half of last season.

Gomez featured in the FA Cup and made some appearances from the Liverpool bench.

Gomez is a sought after centre back but Klopp has nailed his colours to the mast by making assurances of first team action this year for this promising English defender.

Marko Grujic

Marko Grujic’s first season had been hampered by injuries, which very much restricted his ability to show why he should be fighting for a place in Liverpool’s midfield.

The 21-year-old Serbian centre midfielder will be looking at repaying Klopp’s faith in turning his loan move permanent last year, with some outstanding displays.

Klopp will be willing to use Grujic as a focal point in a different system.
