Klopp should drop these 2 Liverpool players against Leicester City today

After a good start to the season, it’s all gone downhill for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern as of late…

They’re in a bit of a rut, having lost to Leicester City in the Carabao Cup earlier this week, and unfortunately for the Reds, there are no signs of impending improvement.

What’s more, they’re set to face the side that beat them on Tuesday once again this weekend – with another tough game against the Foxes on the horizon.

They showed in the cup that they are not an easy side to beat, and so Jurgen Klopp must get it spot on on Saturday.

A few team changes could be needed, particularly stemming back to their 1-1 draw with Burnley last weekend, and so it’s time for Klopp to make a few big calls.

With that said, Klopp should drop these 2 Liverpool players against Leicester City today…

Ragnar Klavan

Liverpool have some big problems defensively, and not one player is at fault. Rather, it’s a collective issue.

One thing is certain, though: Ragnar Klavan isn’t good enough.

He has looked poor during his recent outings, and whilst Dejan Lovren isn’t much better, it’s clear that the Croation is better suited to playing in the future – if he is fit of course.

It’s a position that Klopp needs to sort out sooner rather than later.

 James Milner

James Milner is a decent rotation option, but he shouldn’t be a regular in the first time for Liverpool anymore.

He’s great to call upon late in games, but a younger option like Jordan Henderson or Gigi Wijnaldum may be better suited to face the Foxes today.

If Klopp is keen to feature him more regularly, perhaps a role in the defence would be better suited. He certainly showed a lot more quality at the back last term than some of Klopp’s choices this season.
