Southampton will be desperate to enjoy a positive form as they run the risk of relegation to the Championship if things don’t improve.
The Saints haven’t been able to ensure consistency at all in the current campaign, which is one of the main reasons behind their downfall under Mark Hughes.
However, with the January transfer window right around the corner, Ralph Krueger and Hughes will already have a number of players in mind to boost their chances of avoiding relegation and climbing up the table.
All of the pressure is on Krueger as he could come under fire if he doesn’t get things spot on.
With that in mind, Krueger would be digging himself into a Southampton grave by not signing these TWO players…
EDIN DZEKO
The 32-year-old spent five seasons at Manchester City, where he won two Premier League titles and recently admitted that he hadn’t ruled out a return to English football.
Interestingly, the forward seems to have gotten better with age as he currently has seven goals and four assists to his name this season, to follow on from scoring 24 goals in the last campaign.
Southampton are in desperate need of a striker with the likes of Manolo Gabbiadini, Charlie Austin, Danny Ings and Shane Long all struggling to ensure consistency in front of goal, so Dzeko is a must-buy in January.
LEANDRO TROSSARD

The 23-year-old has been in impressive form in the Jupiler Pro League throughout the early stages of the season.
Leandro Trossard predominantly operates on the left wing and has been performing with production this term, netting 15 goals from only 18 appearances in all competitions.
Sadly, the likes of Nathan Redmond and Mohamed Elyounoussi haven’t really been able to have much of an impact in the final third, so the Saints shouldn’t hesitate to move for the highly-rated Belgian.
