Rangers are slowly beginning to pick up form in the SPFL and whilst it might be too little, too late this season, the signs of improvement under new manager Pedro Caixinha are already clear for all to see.

Gers beat Hamilton 4-0 last weekend having picked up a point in the Old Firm the week before, clear signs that things are quickly moving on at Ibrox, much to the delight of their fans here in the Tavern.

Rangers supporters have been a seriously patient bunch over the past handful of years, following their journey back up the Scottish footballing ladder.

But as ever, their punters continue to line our bar and turn out in numbers to support their team, who are finally on the up again.

And with widely unknown Portuguese boss Pedro Caixinha now at the helm and a first win under his belt, there’s thought that he should be looking to use the whole of his squad going forward, trying to find some hidden gems that might be of use between now and the end of the season.

So with that in mind, here’s TWO Rangers players who deserve another opportunity to shine at the club…

Josh Windass

Son of former Hull City star Dean, Josh Windass arrived at Ibrox with a growing reputation after a seriously good spell with Accrington Stanley.

But at times, the young winger has found game-time hard to come by and there are plenty of Gers supporters here in the Tavern that would like to see the youngster be given some time on the pitch, between now and the end of the season.

He’s as direct as they come and might offer that extra yard of pace in the final third.

Jon Toral

Former Birmingham City loanee Jon Toral is currently spending time at Ibrox, but we really haven’t seen him feature much in the first-team since he made the move.

Whether he’ll make it Arsenal is still yet to be seen, but from what we’ve gathered from his time at Ibrox, he’s a tricky, creative player who is seriously good at linking play through the middle-of-the-park.

Gers fans would like to see him move to the club on a permanent deal if a fee could be arranged, but it’s a tricky one with Arsenal expected to be unwilling to sell a player that they have been nurturing for years.
