Leeds: Fans acknowledge that Kiko Casilla saved their side during Reading win

Plenty of Leeds United fans showered goalkeeper Kiko Casilla with praise following his side’s 1-0 victory against Reading on Saturday.

The Whites got over the line thanks to a 57th-minute goal from Pablo Hernandez that clinched the points, but credit was also given to the Spanish shot-stopper after coming up with a huge injury-time save to deny Royals’ defender Liam Moore at the death. After coming under fire for his error against Brentford, he certainly made amends with his contributions here.

This led to huge praise from manager Marcelo Bielsa, who came on to the pitch at the final whistle to congratulate him on his performance. Quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post, he said that he had a very important impact on the result, which further cemented their position in the Championship’s top two. One fan described him as “outstanding”, while another suggested that the 33-year-old has found his “mojo”.
