One of the stories of the January transfer window in the Championship was Daniel James’ unsuccessful move to Leeds United.
James came close to joining the Yorkshire club from Swansea City, only for the deal to collapse at the last minute (Telegraph). And the 21-year-old winger has since come out to admit it has been a difficult period for him.
“It has been a tough few days with everything that’s gone on,” James was quote saying by the Yorkshire Evening Post. “But I’m back here now, I trained today and I really enjoyed it,” he added.
“I do love it here, the boys have welcomed me back and there were a few laughs and jokes. It’s been just the same as it has been.”
It remains to be seen whether Leeds go back in for James in the summer. But regarding this season, there is not doubt the Wales international would have brought a lot to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.

‘Hey up Danny, yeah just say everything is sound now you are back so we can put it on the website’

It's a professional quote from a professional. He'll put in the work at Swansea like he did before, but it'll never change the fact he wanted to leave.

Won’t be signing a contract though will he?

He can’t really say anything different. He’s a pro so will put in until the end of the season.

Whether he joins us or not he’ll leave Swansea in the summer
