Marcelo Bielsa has won over pretty much every single fan who packs into Elland Road with his level-headed approach and scintillating football. The Argentine continually gets things right and after the win over Wigan yesterday his comments were again bang-on as he claimed that his side hasn’t yet shown they’re good enough to break clear at the top of the Championship.

His comments have been well received by The Whites and whilst they’ll be looking to him to get their side playing the football worthy of Championship winners, for now, they’re over the moon with the progress. The club are joint top of the division with Norwich City at the moment, although they boast a better goal difference to The Canaries which sees them pip the Carrow Road faithful to top spot.
The issues that the fans have at the moment with their club is that whilst the football is mesmeric and they’re scoring beautiful goals, in their 16 games so far they’ve drawn six times, a figure that will have the supporters more than a little bit frustrated. If Bielsa can start turning draws into wins then they’ll have every chance of pulling away at the top of the Championship, much like they all thought they would at the start of the season when they blew away the likes of Stoke City, Derby County, Norwich and Rotherham in their first few fixtures.

The fans will all appreciate Bielsa’s honesty and straight talking and will hope that he can straighten out the minor blips that his side have been experiencing, turning draws into wins wherever possible.
