Leeds fans on Twitter can see Kalvin Phillips become an Elland Road legend

Since Marcelo Bielsa took over at Elland Road, he’s put his faith in Kalvin Phillips. The 22-year-old midfielder is the only player to have started every single game under Bielsa and he’s excelled in a different role to the one he was used in last season, a move which has seen him drop deeper to try and improve the way The Whites play the ball out from the back.

There’s absolutely no doubting that Leeds fans everywhere adore Phillips, and after seeing what the Elland Road born and bred midfielder had to say about the club in an interview on the Leeds website, it seems pretty clear that he loves the club and the fans just as much. The midfielder spoke a lot about getting his boyhood club back into the Premier League where they belong, and those sort os comments will only raise his stock amongst the fans.

A lot of supporters can see their impressive academy graduate going all the way and making it as a legend in Yorkshire. If he can help his side successfully navigate their way back to the Premier League and help The Whites sustain themselves in the top flight then an England call-up shouldn’t be too far away for him and from there he could go anywhere in football, although it looks like he’s got everything he needs at Elland Road.
