Leeds fans on Twitter would love to see Izzy Brown in the squad tonight

When Marcelo Bielsa made the move to loan Izzy Brown from Chelsea a lot of supporters were confused what logic there was in signing a player who was midway through his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury. However, it looks like the 21-year-old could be back ahead of schedule and after he missed out on Leeds’ U23s game yesterday, the fans believe he could feature tonight.

If Brown is to be apart of the squad later, the chances are he’ll be an unused substitute. Bielsa’s squad is thin enough as it is without having one of his new signings, who’s on the cusp of a long-awaited return, suffer a setback that could see him miss even more game time. Realistically, the on-loan Chelsea man will be ready for senior action towards the end of December after only just stepping back onto the pitch at U23 level, but the fans are excited.

Brown was supposed to feature for Leeds’ U23s against Sheffield Unites yesterday, but he was left out as Carlos Corberan’s side won 3-1 in a game that featured both Tyler Roberts and Jack Harrison from The Whites’ senior team. In truth, the likelihood is that Brown will be featuring against Newcastle at age group level on Friday instead of yesterday’s game, but that doesn’t mean The Whites aren’t going to speculate over their summer signing making his debut, or at least being in the squad, later tonight.
