Leeds: Fans react to U23 defeat

George Dagless 14 November 2019, 17:30 1 minute read
Will any of these players be pulling on Leeds' famous white jersey this season?

Leeds United have got some great young players coming through at the moment but they suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Derby’s U23 side yesterday evening.

The Whites have got a manager in Marcelo Bielsa that has shown, time and again, that he is willing to play youth players in the senior side if he thinks they are good enough.

The likes of Jack Clarke, Jamie Shackleton and Leif Davis among others have benefitted from that and, in the long run, we should see more kids breaking through.

They suffered a knock last night, though, as Derby beat them 7-1 in the PL Cup and they’ll have to try and learn from the experience quickly and move on.

Plenty of Whites fans have reacted to the news on Twitter, meanwhile, so let’s take a look at some of what has been said in response to the club account as they announced the defeat…
