Izzy Brown cuts a strange figure at Leeds United. Marcelo Bielsa made the move to bring the Chelsea man on-loan last summer despite the fact he still had plenty of recovery to do from a serious knee ligament injury. However, the 22-year-old has been looking sharp for the club’s U23s and now the fans are desperate for him to make his senior debut.

Brown was again the difference for the U23s yesterday when he scored the only goal of the game against their Sheffield United equivalents in the Professional Development League. It looks like just a matter of time before the star makes the step up from U23 football to senior football, and with a mouth-watering clash against Norwich on Saturday, it could be the perfect game for Brown to make an impact.
Brown’s return could provide the Whites with boost that they need in the title race. Marcelo Bielsa’s sides down the years have developed a reputation for burning out towards the end of the season as a result of his high-intensity football, and with Kemar Roofe carrying the goalscoring burden for most of the campaign so far, the opportunity to rest him and throw Izzy Brown into the mix will be crucial.
