Leeds United: Fans want translator Salim Lamrani back after his praise of Luke Ayling

Former Leeds United translator Salim Lamrani has touched on the quality of defender Luke Ayling, prompting plenty of fans to react.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side have been excellent this season, having bounced back from a play-off semi-final defeat to Derby County last term. Sitting top of the Championship table as things stand, the manager and his squad will be hoping to return to football and seal an automatic promotion to the Premier League.

A collective effort from Bielsa’s squad has seen the Whites on course for a top-flight return, with some players enjoying standout seasons. Ayling, who plays on the right side of defence, is one of those players to experience arguably his best-ever footballing season.

The 28-year-old has been a key performer for the Elland Road outfit, contributing four goals and four assists in 28 league games this term. He has the highest average rating of all Leeds players on WhoScored with 7.31 and Bielsa’s former translator has given his thoughts on the defender via Twitter.
