Leeds United kicked off their international break with some good news yesterday evening, as young defender Leif Davis signed a new deal with the club to tie him down, potentially, for more of his formative years.
The Whites have an excellent record of bringing young players through into their first team and that is one of the key benefits of having Marcelo Bielsa as your manager, he’s always going to buy into that ethos.
Indeed, the likes of Jack Clarke, Jamie Shackleton and the aforementioned Davis have been given opportunities to shine under the Argentine since his arrival last season, and they’ve more often than not impressed.
