Loads of fans are mocking Leeds and new signing Jean-Kevin Augustin over some footage tweeted by BT Sport showing the 22 year-old’s ‘serious talent’.
The Whites confirmed the capture of Augustin on Monday, delighting fans by finally adding some competition for Patrick Bamford. Marcelo Bielsa’s side have regularly dominated matches but failed to convert that domination into goals and points, and fans will hope the arrival of Augustin can change that.
However, while there is no doubting the former Red Bull Leipzig man’s skill, questions are already being raised about his end product after a clip shared by BT Sport, which showed the youngster in European action against FC Porto. Augustin scored 20 times in 67 appearances for Leipzig but only found the net once in 13 showings for Monaco.
You can see the footage below, where Augustin shows off his talent with a lovely spin past two defenders but makes the wrong final decision in front of goal, leading one rival supporter to joke he is ‘another Theo Walcott’ and another to mock his ‘selfishness’…
