Leeds set for double boost before too long after top start to campaign

Will any of these players be pulling on Leeds' famous white jersey this season?

Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to seeing what’s going to happen this weekend coming as Championship duties resume.

The men from Elland Road have had a great start to proceedings this season and that has to go down to the cohesive work done by Thomas Christiansen, his players, the men in the boardroom and, of course, the fans.

For sure, there is a sense that everyone is pulling in the same direction at the club right now and they look set to be buoyed further in the fairly near future with both Gaetano Berardi and Matthew Pennington.

The defensive duo both picked up injuries very early on in the season so it is testament to the club’s squad depth that they have got results without the pair.

And now, as per Phil Hay on Twitter, the club is likely to get them back before too long:

Good news for Leeds fans, then, though with the club in great form right now it is conceivable to say that the pair might not just walk back into the side as soon as they are match fit.

Landlord’s Verdict

The men from Elland Road have had a good season so far and they will certainly be pleased to have these two back in the squad before too long.

There is a likely scenario, though, where they won’t just waltz back into the team and so it remains to be seen just how they get on in forcing themselves back into the side.

Thoughts, Leeds fans? Let us know below!
