As part of a new series broken by Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth, the media outlet will be posting numerous personal fan accounts of their match-going rituals, memories and ‘how it feels to be Leeds‘ – with many Whites fans worshipping the idea.
Due to recent events, football will be temporarily suspended until April 3rd at the earliest date, leaving media outlets and fans alike hunting for distractions to cope with the lack of match action. Now, as revealed by Smyth, the YEP will be posting personal accounts from supporters over their match day experience and what it means to be a Leeds United fan.
The first piece, sitting down with lifelong Whites fan Victoria Tidmarsh, detailed how herself and her friend Laura had been attending Elland Road for ‘15 years‘ – going on to say that without football there is a ‘sense of being lost‘. In response, many fellow fans have lauded Smyth’s plan to introduce more pieces like these – find all of their best comments down below.
