Leeds managed to scrape a 1-1 draw against 6th placed Preston North End on Tuesday night thanks to an 87th minute goal by Eddie Nketiah. Preston took the lead in the 74th minute, but the equaliser meant Leeds went one point clear of Sheffield Wednesday in second but remained two points behind leaders West Brom.

It was a frustrating night for the Whites under Marcelo Bielsa, with his team taking 22 shots compared to Wednesday’s 11, but only putting three of those on target. They also dominated possession with 63% of the ball, much higher than their league average of 58%, but they still couldn’t make their dominance pay.
The Yorkshire Evening Post published a story containing quotes from Preston manager Alex Neil, who said he was disappointed by Leeds’ late leveller but was pleased with the way his team played. However, when the newspaper posted the article to their Twitter page, Whites’ fans weren’t very sympathetic, suggesting the opposition manager used underhand tactics to try and scrape the win.
“You need to be really brave to play that way against Leeds.” #lufc https://t.co/Mmxsgt7vHs

Didn’t like their blatant time wasting when we were chasing the game

They basically tried to break up play and time waste from the start to stop our flow if that’s what he means. Brave? 😋

Time wasting as soon as they scored. Was so sweet when we equalised

Leeds fans, what do you think went wrong on Tuesday night?
