Responding to a tweet by the Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth, promoting a piece by the Press Association surrounding the matchday rituals of Leeds United fans, many fans have been in awe over the ‘brilliant‘ and ‘lovely‘ idea of celebrating Whites supporters.
After recent events, football has been put on hold for the time being – with an estimated return date so far looking like April 30th – but it’s unclear whether this will indeed be extended or not given the circumstances. Baring that in mind, media outlets and supporters alike have had to quench their footballing thirst through other means – with journalist Smyth relaying an innovative piece surrounding the match-going supporter and their various rituals before attending Elland Road.
Responding to the idea and the article itself, plenty of fans have displayed their approval – taking to Twitter and lauding the ‘brilliant‘ gesture in response to Smyth’s relaying of the piece.
