Several Leeds United fans think that defender Ben White should have been included in the Championship Team of the Month for October.
The 11 was announced on Sky Sports on Tuesday and is based on ratings put together by WhoScored.
Whilst White’s Leeds teammate Kiko Casilla was included in the team, there was no place for the 22-year-old despite having an excellent month for the West Yorkshire outfit.
Indeed the Brighton & Hove Albion loanee started all five league matches in October, and helped Marcelo Bielsa’s team to three clean sheets in that time (via Transfermarkt).
However, it was Cardiff City’s Sean Morrison and Christopher Schindler of Huddersfield Town who were the two centre-backs named in the team.
In fairness, Schindler was a key part in the Terriers keeping four clean sheets and going unbeaten throughout October, so his place is deserved (via Transfermarkt).
Morrison’s inclusion is more questionable, given that he and his fellow Bluebirds defenders managed to keep just one clean sheet, although he did score a goal in their 3-0 win against QPR (via Transfermarkt).
Plenty of Leeds fans can’t understand how White hasn’t made the team and feel that he has unfairly missed out. Here is how some have reacted on Twitter…
As if Ben White doesn’t make that team 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
