Leeds United: Fans debate Marcelo Bielsa disciplinary issue in response to Phil Hay

According to an update from the Athletic journalist Phil Hay, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is just one yellow card away from a touchline ban – prompting some supporters to debate his disciplinary issue on Twitter.

Bielsa, who has guided Leeds to within touching distance of Premier League promotion, with his side currently sitting in second place five points clear of Fulham in the automatic spots, has arguably been a key figure in building the Whites’ promotion hopes – with journalist Hay insisting that the team ‘can’t afford‘ a touchline ban.

United host Huddersfield Town next in the Championship on Saturday, with a trip to Cardiff City looming after that. These next few fixtures could be key in helping to secure a much-desired return to the top flight, but if Bielsa receives one more booking, a touchline ban could potentially have a detrimental effect.

As a result, many Whites supporters have been debating the issue – with one fan jokingly hinting that a ban could be ‘incoming‘. Find all of their best comments down below…
