Leeds United: Fans delighted with Mateusz Klich

A number of Leeds United fans were left in awe of Mateusz Klich after he helped Marcelo Bielsa’s side overcome a difficult away trip to Hull City on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites made the most of playing in this week’s early Championship kick-off as they mauled The Tigers with an emphatic 4-0 victory at the KCOM Stadium. The win would put the pressure on West Bromwich Albion in the pursuit for the top spot and it appeared to work as The Baggies capitulated against Wigan Athletic later in the afternoon (BBC).

Klich may not have got himself on the scoresheet, however that did not mean he did not play a major role in helping Bielsa’s side pick up the vital three points. The Poland international did the next best thing whereby he provided assists for both of Tyler Roberts’ goals inside the final ten minutes.

On top of that, the 29-year-old played three key passes in total, had two attempts at goal and also made two tackles as he put in an all-round solid performance in the middle, earning himself a match rating of 8.10 (per WhoScored).

Some fans could not help but wax lyrical over Klich’s recent display for the Whites, with many lauding him and using a variety of superlatives to describe his showing.
