Many Leeds United fans have discussed the potential relegation of Aston Villa from the Premier League as they edge closer to promotion.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side have been consistent with their form this season, which has led them to sit top of the Championship table as things stand.
Bouncing back from a play-off semi-final defeat to Derby County last season, the Whites looks set for promotion to the Premier League this time round. A return for the Yorkshire club to England’s top flight will see a number of rivalries between themselves and other English clubs return, and one of those could be against Villa.

Leeds and Villa’s rivalry was further enhanced by last season’s Championship meeting between the two which saw Bielsa famously allow Villa to score from kick off after a controversial opener from Mateusz Klich. [via The Guardian]
With football’s return very much anticipated, countless claims have been made about the possibility of relegation from the Premier League being scrapped, something that was addressed in an article written by LeedsLIVE writer Beren Cross.
Reacting to a tweet by Cross, these Leeds fans gave their opinions on Villa’s future…
Nothing on the record from Villa on their stance, but IF they consider blocking relegation they should cast their minds back a year.
As Bielsa said: “English football is known around the world for the noble features for how we play the competition.” #lufc https://t.co/enPNXTlXid

If you don’t want to go down don’t be second bottom after 28 games
