Responding to footage of crowds gathering outside Parc des Princes regardless of the coronavirus outbreak, as relayed by the Athletic journalist Phil Hay on Twitter, many Leeds fans have been in full discussion over the perceived lockdown on fans in stadiums – which could impact Elland Road depending on actions taken.
During Paris-Saint Germain’s 2-0 Champions League home win over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, many supporters gathered outside the stadium due to the fact it was played behind closed doors as a precaution to stop the spread of coronavirus.
According to a report from Leeds Live, the impact of the disease in the UK could lead to Premier League matches and EFL games being played without fans in the stadium. However, as relayed by Hay, it appears that precaution did not work – with many supporters seemingly gathering in large numbers regardless.
