Leeds United: Fans enjoying Garry Monk’s struggles at Sheffield Wednesday

Many Leeds United fans have been having their say on former manager Garry Monk’s current struggles at Sheffield Wednesday on social media, and it is fair to say that they are loving it.

The former Swansea defender was in charge of the Whites for the 2016/17 campaign and guided them to seventh in the Championship with 22 wins, 15 defeats and nine draws from his 46 league games in charge (Transfermarkt).

Despite doing a decent job at Elland Road, he seemingly isn’t remembered fondly by many of the club’s supporters due to the fact that he ditched them for Middlesbrough after just one year in charge (BBC Sport).

He is now managing Leeds’ Yorkshire rivals but things haven’t been going too well of late. Indeed, he has led the Owls to just one win in their last nine Championship matches and in that time has suffered heavy home defeats against Blackburn Rovers, Reading and more recently Derby County (Transfermarkt).

Loads of Whites fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on Monk’s struggles at Hillsborough, with many revelling in the 40-year-old’s recent failings as one supporter lambasted him as a ‘poisonous individual’…
