Leeds United: Fans gush over incredible defensive stat that emerges on Twitter

Leeds United kept another clean sheet on Saturday afternoon as they managed to beat Huddersfield Town 2-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium, which led to fans gushing over one stat that had emerged on Twitter following the game.

Leeds have now conceded just 0.50 goals per game this season (10 goals in 20 matches), the BEST defensive record in Europe’s top 5 leagues and the top four tiers of English league football in 2019/20.

According to data by Twitter handle @LUFCDATA, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have become the team with the best defensive record in Europe’s top five leagues and the top four tiers of English football in the current 2019/20 campaign.

Indeed, Leeds have only conceded 10 goals in their 20 league matches to date, which equates to just 0.5 goals per game – making it no surprise that the Whites currently occupy the top spot within the Championship.

A number of fans had seen the tweet from LUFCDATA and had reacted hugely positive to the statistic, with some stating it was quite simply incredible, whilst a few found it unbelievable as they had felt there were still some flaws within their backline.
