Leeds United have made a strong start to the 2019/20 Championship season as after eight games they sit top of the table.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have beaten the likes of Bristol City, Brentford and Stoke City and certainly, look like one of the main contenders for automatic promotion this term so far.
Indeed, midfielder Adam Forshaw is a regular for the West Yorkshire outfit and played every minute of their opening six matches, claiming one assist. However, he has since missed their two most recent Championship fixtures against Barnsley and Derby County due to a minor injury.
Now, the former Middlesbrough man hopes to be fit for their game against Charlton at the weekend, which would be a big boost for the league leaders given his obvious importance to the team having featured so heavily previously.
During his absence, he has still been busy with other club commitments and attended a Q&A with fans on Tuesday in place of captain Liam Cooper.
Forshaw was asked about his decision to join Leeds back in 2018. His answer was posted via the clubs official Twitter account and he said: “As soon as Leeds were interested it was a no brainer. I played with Jonathan Woodgate and he said you’re signing for an absolute great club, he loved his time here.”
In response to his words, Leeds supporters have been praising the 27-year-old and are looking forward to having him back when he recovers from injury. Here is what some of them had to say…
