Leeds United fans have been reacting positively on Twitter to the news that the club are interested in Aston Villa’s James Chester.

The Mirror (via The Daily Star) stated that the Whites are looking at the experienced defender as a possible replacement for the recently departed Pontus Jansson and could be prepared to splash out £7.5million on him to bring him to Elland Road.
And, it would seem fans on Twitter would not be against the idea of having the 30-year-old in the side, despite all the injury problems he had last season.
He had to spend months on the sidelines with a troublesome knee injury, which forced him to miss 19 games of the season between February and May (Transfermarkt). As the Yorkshire Evening Post noted back in April, Marcelo Bielsa had a number of his players out, with his centre-backs missing a combined 35 matches as they missed out on a return to the top-flight.
Chester has played 231 times in the second-tier of English football across spells with Aston Villa, Hull City and Plymouth Argyle (Transfermarkt) and has won promotion to the Premier League twice.
Indeed, fans on Twitter believe he would still be a very good signing and admitted that they would love to see him at Elland Road.
Here are just some of their reactions…
