Leeds United have had terrible luck with injuries this season with goalkeeper Kamil Miazek the latest name to be sidelined.
Miazek injured a finger warming up in a recent U23 clash against Bolton Wanderers with the Yorkshire Evening Post now reporting that Will Huffer has been recalled from his loan spell with Barnet to fill in for him.
Huffer will now be expected to battle it out with Bailey Peacock-Farrell for that goalkeeper deputy spot behind the 32-year-old Kiko Casilla, while also playing for Carlos Corberan’s development side.
Coming back to Elland Road with virtually no chance of breaking into Marcelo Bielsa’s starting XI will be a minor a setback in Huffer’s development but, with so much to play for, it is only normal for a coach to want three capable goalkeepers at his disposal in case the worst thing imaginable happens.
You can have a look at how Leeds supporters reacted to the above development, which they thought involved Casilla, here…
I’ve never been so happy for a player to be injured because it means it isn’t Casilla
