Following the fallout from Spygate, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa earlier held an emergency press confrence to address the whole ordeal.
The Argentinian had found himself in hot water after accepting responsibility for a Leeds employee getting caught spying on a Derby County training session prior to the Yorkshire club’s 2-0 victory over Frank Lampard’s side.
And speaking in the recent press conference he called, Bielsa admitted it is practice that he has been using all season.
“I observed all rivals we played against. We watched all the training sessions before we played them,” Bielsa told reporters (Sky Sports). “What I have done is not illegal. We can discuss it, it’s not seen as a good thing, but it’s not a violation of the law.”
Already under a Football League investigation and admitting further spying on opposition, it will be interesting to see what punishment Leeds are given if any considering Bielsa has technically not broken any rules.
Have a look at how Leeds supporters, who were worried over Bielsa potentially announcing his resignation, have reacted to the latest chapter of Spygate below…
