Leeds United fans on Twitter still firmly behind Bielsa despite Queens Park Rangers defeat

Leeds United blew their chance to go back to the top of the Championship table last night after they lost 1-0 to Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

Luke Freeman’s goal early into the second half proved to be enough to sink the Yorkshire Club and leave Marcelo Bielsa in a foul mood.

The Leeds boss, who has quickly become a fan favourite at Elland Road, hit back post-game when it was put to him that his team might be running out of energy, instantly refuting that claim.

“Your question doesn’t have any basis because if you watched the game, what you can say is that this team has too much energy,” Bielsa said in response to the notion of his team possibly being tired (Yorkshire Evening Post).

“You’re asking me if the team lost energy but what our team has shown in every game is that we have an excess of energy.”

On the basis of one game, it would be hard to put Leeds’ recent defeat down to fatigue. It was probably just a bad day in the office and, given the form they have been in this season, they could so easily bounce back in their upcoming fixture against West Brom this Friday to put the above theory to bed.
