Loads of Leeds fans have been drooling over some footage of Kalvin Phillips, as @LUFCHD released highlights from his sensational display in the win over Bristol City.
After taking just one point from their previous three matches, Marcelo Bielsa’s side desperately needed a positive result against Bristol City, and they got it with plenty of thanks due to Phillips. While Luke Ayling may take the headlines for his winning goal and impressive three tackles, Phillips appeared to be operating on a different level to everyone else on the pitch.
Indeed, the 24 year-old produced one of the most well-rounded displays of the season, completing 85% of his passes, including three key passes, while also making two tackles, two interceptions and three clearances, per Sofascore. He also completed five of his eight attempted long balls, and won six out of nine duels.
It’s fair to say the Whites’ promotion charge has stuttered and stumbled on several occasions since the turn of the year, but if their star man in the middle keeps performing like this, it’s hard to see them missing out again. Check out some of the best Twitter reactions down below, where one supporter compared him to Zinedine Zidane while another hailed the ‘modern day Billy Bremner’…
With him we look so much better and stronger. Best player in championship. If we get into prem with some real additions he will flourish.

his positioning off the ball also on saturday was amazing covered a lot for coops and white and on occasion was in sweeper position making a back 5. Also looks like he done some work on his tackling during his break. Full package as a CDM and great player. #lufc

This might be a bit over the top, but some of the silkiness in this reminds me of Zidane
