Eddie Nketiah was the hero for Leeds United on Tuesday, scoring with just three minutes to go to secure a 1-1 draw against Preston North End at Deepdale (via BBC Sport).

The 20-year-old started the game on the bench but came on for the final 13 minutes and made an immediate impact. His goal secured a crucial point for the Whites, keeping them in second place for now (BBC Sport).
Nketiah has struggled for game time since joining Leeds on loan from Arsenal in the summer. Indeed, he hasn’t yet started a single game in the Championship, with his only starts coming in the EFL Cup (via WhoScored).
Instead Marcelo Bielsa has opted to play Patrick Bamford up front, but after last night he has now failed to score at all in his last eight appearances for the West Yorkshire outfit (WhoScored).
And having seen Nketiah come on and score for the third time from the bench (WhoScored), plenty of Leeds supporters now want to see the England under-21 striker start in their next game against Sheffield Wednesday.
Here is what some Whites fans said on Twitter after Nketiah scored at Deepdale…
START HIM SATURDAY

Dont you dare start Bamford after this. Hasn’t scored since August. Dont care if he puts in a shift. He’s a good player that’s all good but strikers are supposed to score. START EDDIE

Eddie! Eddie! Eddie!!!!
Give him a start Saturday, a few constant games and he will score more, Bamford has been given too many chances, too many— Wayne Henn (@WayneHenn) October 22, 2019
No excuses not to start him now! If he had half the chances we have created tonight we would more than likely be winning!

What more reasons do we need to start Eddie and not bamford!
— Lee Knight (@leeknight180) October 22, 2019
can anyone justify why he doesn’t start?
